3 Things to Avoid in Order to Fix the Xbox 3 Red Lights
By John Hitchen
If you're reading this article, you've have proven to be smarter than most of my friends. At least one of my many friends has attempted a method that I will discuss in this article. So play it smart and take some of the life advice I have obtained, and don't end up paying me at least $50-$100 to repair something that could have been fixed easily.
Forums
Why do people automatically assume that someone on a forum is an xbox technician with years of experience and no real feedback to their success?
I can't tell you how many people I've received emails from claiming that they followed some guide on a random xbox forum telling them how to fix their Xbox 360 3 red lights.
So they prop open their system with no experience, little to no instructions, pictures or videos, and rip something out on accident. Or bend something the wrong way. And if they don't manage to do one of those, they disconnect something and the system doesn't turn on at all.
Yeah, real smart. That's what you get for listening to a twelve year old in China, or some guy in Albania who has never seen the system in real life.
Towel Method
Yeah, this is smart. Freeze a towel and then smother your system so that it can't breathe, overheats, melts the inside of your system and possibly does worse damage. "But my system worked for the first few hours, I got to play Halo Wars!"
Awesome, you got to play a game for a few hours, and now your system is an expensive decoration that you can barely pawn back to Microsoft for a quick repair.
If it's not obvious, the Xbox Red Ring Death takes place when the system overheats or doesn't receive enough insulation to keep it from destroying it's insides.
So let's wrap a cold towel around it, trapping the hot air inside the system and possibly melting the expensive equipment in your system.
eBay EBooks
eBay Ebooks advertised for a dollar are never a good idea. I can't remember the last time I was happy with a Dollar Tree purchase. So don't be stupid, why would a guide that only cost you a dollar fix a system that cost you hundreds? I can't see the logic, but many of our customers did and were happy to fork out twice the amount of a proven guide that we've reviewed and approved just to fix the errors they created.
Let me repeat that, they spent twice the amount of money paying us to fix their xbox 360, when they could have easily just bought a working guide, got the right instructions, fixed the system and never had to fork out that kind of money.
The saying "If it seems to good to be true, it probably is." Is still a very true statement.
Now I don't want you to make the same errors my customers and friends have made. I want you to be able to fix your system for half of what I would charge you, and in much less time, why? Because frankly I started this for my friends and now I'm stuck helping every person who thinks it's smart to buy a dollar book off eBay.
So play it smart, don't email or come see me. Just visit my website at http://www.xbox-repairs.com and get full video and step by step instructions that are proven to be user friendly and really repair any issues you may be having.
